Jesan Sorrells is the CEO and Founder of HSCT Publishing, a remote-first, video-based, training platform company, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, he is the founder and principal at EJD Advisory Group, a boutique consulting firm focused on working with organizations to solve difficult problems at the intersection of people, culture, and strategy. Jesan has a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, and is a Texas State Certified Divorce and Family Mediator. Jesan is a Certified DiSC Provider and trainer through Wiley and Sons©. Jesan has leveraged that background for the last 15 years into coaching a wide variety of both public and private clients and individuals in a variety of economic sectors ranging from long-term care providers to public sector organizations.
Jesan previously served as the Membership Chair on the board of the Association of Conflict Resolution of Greater New York City, as well as Cornell University’s Cooperative Exchange board for six years. He served as a part-time lecturer in Organizational Behavior at the School of Management at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. He was formerly an adjunct lecturer in Leadership and Conflict Resolution in the Madden School of Business at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY and currently sits on the LeMoyne College Madden School of Business Board. Jesan was involved extensively in developing the start-up ecosystem in the Southern Tier of New York State through connections with many entrepreneurial and start-up organizations before relocating to North Central Texas in late 2020.
Jesan maintains an ever-expanding social/digital content footprint on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, as well as a growing archive of inspirational and motivational YouTube videos through his channel, Jesan Sorrells Presents. Jesan hosted and produced The Earbud_U Podcast, for seven seasons (2014-2017). He currently hosts the Leadership Lessons from the Great Books podcast, as well as the Jesan Sorrells Audio Experience podcast. Jesan has published two books Marketing for Peace Builders: How to Market Your Value to a World in Conflict (2016) and My Boss Doesn’t Care: 100 Essays on Disrupting Your Workplace by Disrupting Your Boss (2019). His third book, 12 Rules for Leaders: The Foundation for Intentional Leadership, co-authored with Bradley Matican, is available now in hardcover, softcover, and eBook formats.In 2015, Jesan was selected by Biz Events and the Central New York Business Journal as one of Central New York and the Southern Tier’s Top Forty Young Professionals Under 40.
