Describe the process you use to help clients move forward with their lives.

We get a baseline of satisfaction for each dimension of the client’s life through a Wheel of Life exercise. Once the focus area is identified, the client sets a vision for improvement. As the coach, I help the client identify limiting beliefs that are inhibiting their progress, and we work through those issues together. I also serve as their accountability partner for the steps the client will take in the journey toward the goal.

Describe your coaching style.

I serve my clients with a consultative coaching approach. Depending on the needs of the client on a specific issue, I switch between providing information and insights, challenging their mindset, breaking limiting beliefs, asking powerful questions to provoke new ideas, and brainstorming as an equal co-partner.

Describe your experience working with experienced managers

The leadership needs and capacity vary significantly at the experienced manager level. I meet my clients where they are in their leadership and professional journey. We define the gap-to-goal and then create a plan to get there. Client engagement is a balance of dealing with immediate issues as well as improving specific leadership skills to carry forward.

Describe your experience working with individual contributors or others, not in people manager roles.

Individual contributors, many of whom work on teams, are leaders not by organizational structure but by their need to influence processes and people to achieve business outcomes. I coach individuals on the key leadership behaviors that get results like how I would coach a manager. I meet my clients where they are in their challenges; we unpack and deal with the current issues and develop a plan of execution. Intentional practice builds leadership capacity.
