Bio

Some of Debra’s accomplishments during the 35 years include:

  • Selected as one of top six coaches for Hogan Assessments and acted as coach for the top 50 leaders at PepsiCo worldwide.
  • Created and implemented the new supervisor and new manager curriculum and executive transition processes.
  • Developed strong results-oriented relationships with international clients in China, India, Taiwan, Australia, and Europe.
  • Recommended an organizational restructure to align with business processes, and the results decreased animosity between groups, decreased billing problems, and increased successful circuit installation percentages.
  • Aligned a leadership development program with Succession Planning. In 2002, 100% of new Directors came from this program. The longitudinal effect over five years has been that over 50% of the participants had been promoted to the next level.
  • Led and managed change to create a learning culture from a culture that had not valued learning and development before. This included installing a new LMS and using it to enhance talent development.
  • Loves horses and uses them to enhance leadership.
  • Debra has worked for Sprint and Garmin. At Garmin, she created the first leadership development for the company. This included selecting 360 Degree Assessment instruments that were a best fit for the organization.

Debra is certified in Profiler, The Leadership Circle, Leadership Practices Inventory, Booth Company 360s, and a variety of company 360s. Debra is also a certified and skilled coach using Hogan Assessments, MBTI, and DiSC personality instruments. She has accumulated over 5000 hours of executive coaching. Debra recently completed her PhD in Adult Learning and Leadership from Kansas State University with her research emphasis on women who have stayed employed over age 65. She also holds a Master’s degree in Organization Development from Fielding Graduate University, an MBA in Finance from Baker University., and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska.

Debra grew up in a resort on the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks that her family owned and operated. Debra lives in the greater Kansas City area with her husband and dogs. She has two children that live in the area and Three grandchildren. She enjoys staying in shape, walking her dogs, boating, snow skiing, and reading.
