I help my clients move forward with their lives by partnering with them first to understand their core values, and then to establish clear goals that are meaningful and aligned to those values. From there we work on developing habits that will support the achievement of those goals, working to unlearn unhelpful habits in terms of thinking and behaving, and then integrating more helpful habits, using the neuroscience of sustainable habit development. Throughout the process, I help my clients organize their thinking and turn thoughts into actions, and provide a supportive, empathetic, and objective space to process issues and explore their dreams. I always aim to help my clients build self-awareness and remember their agency in their lives, and support them to clarify their options and make choices and take actions that are best aligned with their goals and values.
Warmth and empathy are core to my communication style. I strive to balance providing validation, and supportively challenging my clients as appropriate, and will help you identify patterns that allow problems to be solved at their root.
I’ve worked with experienced managers who are seeking to improve their skills in motivating and aligning their teams, driving their team’s performance and results, and becoming more influential and effective with managing up and cross-functionally to make an impact in their organizations and build up a track record of results.
I’ve coached many individual contributors and professionals in non-manager roles across the span of careers, from those within their first few years of graduating college to those who have been in their field for decades. Regardless of the client’s experience level, I find that clarity on needs and preferences is always critical in setting a path for growth. While some will have a desire to move into a people management role, those who do not have that interest have an equal need to keep learning and growing. Setting clear goals for development and actionable plans to achieve them is always core to the coaching relationship, as is growing skills for communication, interpersonal relationships, productivity, and prioritization.
