My approach is a strengths-based, appreciative one informed by my certifications in applied positive psychology & positive psychology-based coaching and extensive training and practice in Clean Language and transformational NLP. We locate what works and build on it (rather than focus on what doesn't and get stuck in it). My approach enables clients to experience themselves more deeply and compassionately. And intentionally build self-efficacy, behavioral flexibility, and personal and organizational resilience. With each session, my clients better understand the way they relate to the world and other people...and can readily shift the way they lead themselves and their team/company to achieve more with greater ease.
I'm able to facilitate the most profound transformations and the greatest amount of impact with clients who are: - quick thinkers- resilient (don’t give up when it matters)- courageous (face their fears, admit their mistakes, and take action when they can’t predict the outcome)- impact focused (their efforts benefit large numbers of people)- value-oriented (they gain value from relationships and impact)- naturally collaborative (they contribute to and focus on solutions)- learners & experimenters (try new things as they learn, rather than wait)- positive (naturally optimistic)- humble (acknowledge and credit others who’ve contributed)
I measure success based on the client's metrics for success. The client defines success at the beginning of our engagement (and iterates it as they shatter limitations during our work). I ask them to assess success. And I also compare who they've become and what is possible now, with who they were and what used to be possible at the start of our work together.
My coaching superpower is helping people do what used to feel out of reach. One of the clients coined the term "dangerously empowered" to describe how working with me makes her feel. Others have expressed something similar. How do I do that? By helping them cultivate greater and greater levels of self-rapport.
