Bio

Sarah has coached and consulted to senior leaders and Executives at The Atlantic, Conde Nast (Vogue and The New Yorker), The Guardian, National Journal, Carhartt, The States Project, Stripe, Adobe, DREAM, Intentional Philanthropy, Integrated Health Services, and more.

Prior to founding Meetinghouse, Sarah served as the Head of Inclusion & Learning at The Atlantic, where she founded Leadership Lab to coach and train managers (from the newsroom to engineering, growth/marketing, design, and beyond), as well as design and deliver DEI development across staff. Sarah co-developed and co-led The Atlantic’s first DEI Series, a robust set of ten trainings, along with establishing Manager Onboarding and Manager Cohorts. Sarah served as the primary advisor for the company’s DEI Committee, Employee Resource Groups, Allyship Team, and Professional Development Fund.

Before The Atlantic, Sarah was Senior Director of Leadership Development & Coaching at Leadership for Educational Equity, an organization supporting a diverse set of Teach For America corps members and alumni to engage civically and politically. Starting as Founding Regional Director, she went on to develop the organization’s coaching model and managed coach development, regional trainings, 360 Degree Reviews, and hybrid learning for 40,000+ members across the country.

Sarah also served as Success Coach for the Obama Foundation’s Community Leadership Corps, and previously worked in advocacy at the local, state, and national levels. That included spearheading a federal anti-poverty policy initiative, supporting a Mayoral-led initiative, and working with foster youth to pass a state law on educational stability.

Sarah has her Masters in Social Work (MSW) Policy from University of Connecticut, and is a proud International Coach Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC). In 2021, she was featured as a presenter at Columbia University’s International Coaching Conference, speaking on the importance of cultural competency for coaches and leaders. She is also a mother of two wonderful children.
