Mr. Paul Jaconette has enjoyed a varied and challenging career in healthcare management and leadership. Mr. Jaconette was the Director of Strategy and Business Development for the County of Ventura Health Care Agency (VCHCA). VCHCA operates 2 hospitals, a Family Medicine Residency training program, 30 clinics, the Public Health Department, and Behavioral Health Services. Prior to joining Ventura County, he spent 10 years as the Chief Operating Officer of CenCal Health, the Medi-Cal Health Plan for Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties serving over 200,000 members. Prior to joining CenCal Health, he was Executive Vice President/CAO of Sansum Clinic for 18 years, the largest nonprofit, multi-specialty group practice between Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has held management positions at Intermountain Healthcare, Salt Lake City, UT, and Kaiser Permanente Northern California region.
Mr. Jaconette is an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, Santa Barbara, College of Letters and Science, where he teaches an upper-division honors seminar on the U.S. healthcare system. He is also Adjunct Faculty for University of Massachusetts Global, School of Business and Professional Studies. He earned a Certificate in Coaching for Life and Work from the University of California, Davis. He is a coach to executives and professionals looking to improve their leadership and management skills to be the best they can be. He has conducted management team building sessions as well as small group coaching sessions.
Mr. Jaconette is active in his community and several professional associations. Mr. Jaconette earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Cell Biology and Human Physiology and a Master of Public Health/Health Care Administration degree from Yale University School of Public Health. He completed an Administrative Fellowship at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah.
